Our training was postponed indefinitely. Arjay, our franchise consultant, said that we are advised by Raymont Choachuy, the General Manager, to just take the training soon before we begin operating so that we would not forget what we will learn from the training.
Since that was the case, Misyel and I decided to meet up and play Badminton instead. We agreed to meet up at the McDonald's store across from the Rodriguez Sports Center in Marikina. We got there before Misyel and Daphne did. Below are three pictures taken while we were waiting for the two to arrive.

Last November 5 [2005], Misyel and I were supposed to attend the training for our franchise. It was scheduled at 8 o'clock in the morning. We left the house at 8:20 and it takes approximately 30 - 45 minutes to get to where we were supposed to have the training. Therefore, Misyel and I decided to just postpone the training to this coming Saturday [Nov. 12]
We went back home and got my laptop since she brought her's with her. We initially thought of going to Tiendesitas to take a walk. We got there at 9 o'clock. The guard let us in but after a short while he told us that the stores won't open till 11 o'clock. So we decided to hang out at MetroWalk, instead. While driving to get there, Misyel and I started talking about thyroids and stuff. This lead us to decide to go to Seaside [in Ortigas Center, Pasig].

I left work at exactly 2:15PM ... just 15 minutes after I actually clocked out. Misyel was waiting for me at Gloria Jean's Coffees with Eteng (Borja, - Wave 1104) and Ghelo (Morales - a former Team Jader). (He's the one standing.) Oh man! I miss the old days when we were still having fun taking in calls and assisting customers resolve their issues.
There are times when I wished I were still an Technical Representative. All an agent should worry about is to meet his/her target and the team's will follow - well, provided that the other members of the team would also perform well. Agents' get all the incentives - prices, OT pay, 6th day OT pay, bonuses, etc.
With what I am doing now, I need to worry about evaluating the way 40 (on the average) agents transact with our customers; their sentence construction, thought organization, speech and pronunciation, volume/rate of their speech, their call control skills, their courtesy and professionalism, the way they guide customers through troubleshooting steps by providing logical and sequential steps, etc. 40 people every week - we evaluate them then we need to coach every one of them.
40, you might think ... "Oh such a small number!" HaH! That's not very stressful if all 40 agents have recorded calls. The problem is sometimes only 10 out of the 40 agents on our weekly list have recorded calls and we'd have to barge into the others calls and evaluate them based on a live call. Here's the thing, though ... if the recorder gets f&#ck*d up, there'd even be ZERO, yes ZERO recorded calls.
Oh geeze ... I'm ranting on the wrong weblog! hahaha ...
later then

On Saturday, October 1 (2005) Misyel and I had already decided that we're going to get a franchise instead of starting a business of our own.
Hee Hee! Misyelipooh has fallen asleep while waiting for me to decide on where to put the food cart. Our 1st choice was Cyberpark, Eastwood City but we later on found out that Sam's have not made any transactions with the developers of Eastwood yet.
When Misyel and another friend, Jaymee, went to pick up some documents from my lawyer, we thought of stopping by at Tiendesitas - a new enclosed flea market in town - and the moment I set foot on the place, I already felt that it would be a good idea to set it up there.
The St. Francis Mall was also recommended to us but they charge too much. Just for us to be able to set up a food cart in their Tiangge area, we need to pay Php55,000.00 for 50 days. We didn't take it. And besides, when Misyel went there one time, she observed that although this place was already in the center of the commercial district in Ortigas Center, not too many people stop and buy stuff here ... unless they're really looking for a specific item.

There are actually two females and one male in this team, but I just fell in love with the skin the moment I saw it. From left to right: Ricky, my boyfriend; Misyel, one of my closest friends this past three years; and yours truly.
Misyel and Ricky, separately, had been planning to put up a business for quite a while now. They just didn't know what to venture in. As for myself, I need to make more money in order for me to provide the needs of my children and to start on our own (literally) soon.
My mom lent me two of her Entrepreneur magazines. I browsed through it and shared ideas with Ric and Misyel. Then we thought of sharing expenses to put up a business. The first question was: "Own business or Franchise?"
You'll find out as I share stories with you! =)
